FILM

Due to the different frame rates between 8mm, Super 8mm and 16mm film, which runs at 18 or 24 frames per second,  and video, which runs at 30 frames per second,  the pitch of the audio will increase (18 fps) or decrease (24 fps) when transferred to video.  If the film is transferred at the  original frame rate that it was shot,  the video image will flicker noticeably.

It's possible to transfer the film at it's original speed if you want the best sound quality and don't mind the image flickering. Normally, we transfer the film to match the video frame rate.  Let us know when you order which way you would prefer us to transfer your film.  If you wish to have your film transferred both ways, double the amount of film footage when you order.
